The Knights of Columbus take the virtue of charity seriously. Throughout the year we participate in various projects.
- Annual Tootsie Roll Drive
Every Fall you see us around town in our yellow smocks – give us a hand as we raise money for the intellectually disabled here in Lake County. - KC Wheelers
About once a quarter, we head the the North Chicago V.A. Hospital, where we fan out and ‘wheel’ disabled vets to Mass. Truly a way to thank them for their service! - St Mary’s Oktoberfest & Lenten Fish Fry
Fellow Knights are generally put in charge of the beverage concession at these festive events at the Church of St. Mary in Lake Forest. - Newman Fund Raffle & Seminarian Raffle
We sell raffle tickets for these two great causes – one that supports college Newman Centers, and the other that supports seminarians here in our own diocese. - Charities, Inc.
Though not an event per say, our Council manages Charities, Inc – an organization founded by a generous donation of the Baker Family which distributes thousands of dollars each year to local causes & scholarships. - Local Volunteering
We’ve worked at local charities, such as Feed My Starving Children in Libertyville. We’re always looking for new opportunities to help out.
