Service Events The Knights of Columbus take the virtue of charity seriously. Throughout the year we participate in various projects. Annual Tootsie Roll Drive Every Fall you see us around town in our yellow smocks – give us a hand as we raise money for the intellectually disabled here in Lake County. KC Wheelers About once a quarter, we head the the North Chicago V.A. Hospital, where we fan out and ‘wheel’ disabled vets to Mass.

Founded in 1882 and boasting nearly 2 million members across 15,000 councils, the Knights of Columbus boasts an impressive history. Our motto, “In service to One, in service to all” truly sums up our calling. On a practical level, we’re a group of men that selflessly supports the Church in Her parishes and organizations. From our annual “Tootsie Roll” drive in support of the intellectually disabled, through helping our parishes at their Lenten events, to ensuring that disabled vets make it to Mass at the VA Hospital – the Knights are there, serving right here in our community.
